"Evette is a tough fighter," said Collazo’s manager and C.E.O. of One In A Million, Inc. Octavius James. "When she is in that ring, she is as good as anyone in the world at her weight class."

She has started her career on a four fight win streak with her most recent fights showing her stamina as both went the distance. On February 1st, 2008, she had to battle Kim Colbert for four rounds at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza to earn a unanimous decision.

Then on August 2nd, 2008, she displayed all her talent at the U.S. Steel Yard in Gary, Indiana by winning another four round unanimous decision over a very game Kerri Hill

The Boricua sensation enters the ring with the sounds of Don Omar’s Angelito blaring over the speakers with the Puerto Rican flag extremely visible and never far from the heart of this talented and young fighter.

“My heritage has always been special to me and there are so many talented Latin fighters under One In A Million, so that just makes it that much more of a comfortable situation for me,” said Collazo. “Being Puerto Rican and a fighter go hand and hand and to know that my people come out and cheer for me is amazing.”

She has continued to dominate her opponents since her days of being the two-time Chicago Golden Gloves. Collazo staked claimed to her titles in 2006 and 2007.

“That was such a huge turning point in my career,” said Collazo of winning the Chicago Golden Gloves. “It definitely let me know that I can make it in the boxing world and succeed.”
