5 (Merrillville, IN) - Today Gary, Indiana's own
NABC Light Welterweight Champion "Merciless"
Mary McGee (14-0, 8 KO's) Welcomed back cross-town
rival Rita "La Guera" Figueroa (10-0,
3 KO's) of Chicago who returned to training last
week. McGee and Figueroa both undefeated have
but one blemish on their records, which is a no
contest due to a serious cut sustained by Figueroa
when they met in the ring back in November of
2006. "Now that Rita is back in the gym training
its time to see whose record will stay perfect."
McGee said "This is a fight that Northwest
Indiana and Chicagoland fans have been waiting
to see again and I am ready to settle our "Unfinished
Business" once and for all." McGee has
her next fight scheduled for this summer and is
looking to leave no question who should have won
the first time these two stepped in the ring,
if Figueroa accepts the challenge. |

7 (Merrillville, IN)- Introduced in 1965, “Rock
‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots” has become
a pop culture phenomenon. Introduced in 1986,
21-year-old “Merciless” Mary McGee
(13-0, 7 KOs) has become a phenomenon of her own
in Northwest Indiana. Using
“steel crunching hooks” and “pile
driving jabs,” McGee says that when she
faces her opponent in the main event of the
“Majestic Rumble” on Saturday, April
19th, she will “Knock Her Block Off!”
McGee, the NABC light

Million’s resident heavyweight Michael
Parker is certainly capable of taking his opponent
out with one, big crowd pleasing punch. In the
evening’s co-main event, Parker faces
21-year-old Rayvon Wilson of Wisconsin.
Since turning professional
just six months ago, Hobart native Ed Ochoa
(3-0 3 KOs) has stepped in to the squared circle
three times and won each bout by definitive,
crowd pleasing knock out. As his KO streak multiplies,
so does his fan base. On April 19, Ochoa looks
to give his fans what they want by delivering
another exciting win over four rounds or less
in a welterweight bout against an opponent to
be named.
Light heavyweight Jimmy
Perez Jr. (2-1, 1 KO) returns to the scene of

20 (Merrillville, IN)- Vegas style boxing action
returns to Northwest Indiana on Saturday, April
19, when NABC junior welterweight champion “Merciless”
Mary McGee (13-0, 7 KOs) of Gary puts her perfect
record on the line in the main event of the “Majestic
Rumble” at the Majestic Star Casino &
Hotel in Gary, IN. Presented by Octavius James’
One In A Million Inc., Majestic Star’s beautifully
appointed entertainment pavilion provides fans
with an intimate setting making every fan feel
like they’re sitting VIP ringside.
A limited number of tickets
for the six-bout card are available to the public.

Last October, 21-year-old
McGee won her first championship, the NABC light
welterweight title, with an eighth round knock
out over veteran Tawnyah Freeman. The first
and only female boxing champion from the Steel
City, McGee faces an opponent to be announced
shortly.
Since turning professional
just six months ago, Hobart native Ed Ochoa
(3-0 3 KOs) has stepped into the squared circle
three times and won each bout by knock out.
On April 19, Ochoa looks to keep his perfect
record in order by winning a four round welterweight
bout. Ochoa has proven tremendously popular
with area fans and, with each bout, his fan
base continues to grow.
Light heavyweight Jimmy
Perez Jr. (2-1, 1 KO), one of the region’s
most popular fighters, returns to the scene
of the crime to rebound from the shocking loss
he suffered in December at Majestic Star. Perez,
a Hammond native, will face an opponent tba.
Heavyweight Mike Parker
(5-0, 4 KOs) is anxious to return to the ring
after having been sidelined with an injury.
Of his five professional bouts, Parker has won
four by knock out. Fight fans love the big punching
heavyweights and on April 19, Parker plans to
put on a show in a four round bout against an
opponent tba.
One In A Million’s
exciting new welterweight prospect, Marcus Thompson
(1-0), returns after winning his professional

February
28 (Chicago, IL) - Chicago’s #1 prospect,
undefeated middleweight Michael Walker
(18-0-1, 12), faces former title challenger Antwun
Echols (31-7-3, 27) in the main event of tomorrow
night’s edition of ESPN2’s “Friday
Night Fights” at 8 p.m. CST from the Paragon
Casino in Louisiana.
With just 24 hours notice, Walker agreed, without
hesitation, to take the bout. “Michael
and I both understand that even with incredibly
short notice, this is an important opportunity
to make a statement,” said Walker’s
promoter, Octavius James, CEO Of One In A Million
Inc. “Stepping up to face a fighter like
Echols with no notice shows some serious heart
and confidence on Walker’s part.”
“For the past year,
none of the rising middleweights have wanted
to take a chance fighting me,” Walker
said. “Beating a puncher like Echols,
a ‘name’ fighter who’s been
in with the best, is the opportunity that I’ve
been waiting for.”
Highly touted prospect
Allan Green was scheduled to headline the card
against lightly regarded Samuel Miller (18-2,
1 KOs) of Columbia. Somewhere around the date
of February 20, Miller pulled out and was replaced
by Echols. Perhaps daunted by the fact that
he would now be facing a much more formidable
opponent, Green didn’t get on his flight
yesterday and seems to be AWOL.
“I’m glad
Green bailed and I don’t care why,”
Walker said. “I’m going to take
care of business. Everything happens for a reason.
This is going to be my coming out party.”
Echols, a native of Davenport,
Iowa, twice fought Bernard Hopkins for the IBF
middleweight title and is the former NABF, USBA
and NABA champion. His extensive resume includes
some memorable bouts against the divisions toughest
opponents including living legend Hopkins, wins
over Charles Brewer and Richard “The Alien”
Grant and a highly controversial 12-round loss
to Australian superstar Anthony Mundine in Australia.
One can assume that Echols
is on top form since he was, until recently,
in the North Carolina training camp of red-hot
prospect “Irish” John Duddy who
was preparing for his February 23rd bout at
The Garden. If Echols wants to stay in the mix,
this fight is a “must win.”
Walker, younger, fresher
and hungrier than Echols, will draw on the experience
and knowledge gained last year while training
in the camps of two of the sport’s top
pound-for-pound champions, WBA welterweight
champ Miguel Cotto and WBC and WBO middleweight
champ Kelly Pavlik.
“For the last year,
Walker has been in that ‘prospect limbo’
place where he’s tough to match,”
James said. “Being undefeated and hungry,
he brings a real risk to the table. He is, correctly
perhaps, perceived as more risk than reward.
In the mean time, while we’ve been waiting
for the break-through opportunity, we’ve
sent him to the Cotto and Pavlik camps and have
kept him in the ring with ‘stay busy’
bouts.”
On August 4th, Walker
scored a second-round, highlight reel knock
out over former Olympian Dante Craig on the
undercard of an HBO PPV card broadcast from
suburban Chicago. He earned rave reviews from
on-hand industry experts including:
“…a promising middleweight…”
Roman Modrowski, Sun Times
“…Walker remained unbeaten in impressive
fashion…” Michael Hirsley, Chicago
Tribune
“…never shining brighter and rapidly
becoming a fighter to watch in an already red-hot
middleweight division.” Jake Donovan,
BoxingScene.com and FoxSports.com
Walker discovered boxing
as a 19-year-old and made up for his late start
with a dedicated and enthusiastic daily training
program at the park district’s Fuller
Park. With new found goals and aspirations,
Walker committed himself to the sport and went
on to earn an impressive amateur record of 90-12
including two prestigious Chicago Golden Gloves
titles.
Since turning pro in April
of 2004, Walker has become a Chicagoland fight
fan favorite. A slick boxer known to be drawn
into crowd-pleasing brawls, Walker has never
been in a boring fight. A number of Walker’s
most sensational wins were broadcast by international
Spanish language network Telefutura on their
regular Friday night program, “Solo Boxeo.”
Tired of being the bridesmaid,
Walker and his promoter Octavius James, have
recently been calling out Ronald Hearns (18-0,
14). Son of the legendary Tommy “Hitman”
Hearns, both fighters are undefeated at 18-0.
Both are 29-years-old. Both began boxing at
a late age.
"I respect Tommy
Hearns, of course,” Walker said. "But
his son calls himself 'The Chosen One.' More
like 'Chosen Not to Fight Anyone.' "
Hearns fought on PPV this
month and is expected to fight on another PPV
event shortly. James rightfully believes that
a fight between these two undefeated prospects
is just the right bout to open a pay-per-view
event.
Walker and James are wondering
when, and if, Hearns' people will stop protecting
him.
“At the moment,
Michael is fully focused on Echols,” James
said. “But after this win, we’ll
be calling for Hearns again.”

| February
12, 2008 (Merrillville, IN)- Octavius James, CEO
of One In A Million Inc., has announced that the
One In A Million Boxing Gym, located at 8789 Louisiana
in Merrillville, now offers memberships to anyone
who wants to Train Like A Champion. In addition
to it's top-notch boxing equipment and world class
certified boxing instructors, the 5000 square
foot facility offers the latest in cardio equipment
and free weights and now offers programs geared
toward at-risk youth, childhood obesity and women’s
fitness. Already
the training site of the region's best professional
boxers, One In A Million’s USA Boxing
certified coaches include Jack Callahan, Henry
Sims and Marty Jakubowski. Whether you're looking
for a fitness class specifically designed for
women, just looking to get in shape or want
to train for a Golden Gloves type competition,
our knowledgeable, personable and patient instructors
are on hand to safely guide you.
Most importantly, the
One In A Million facility is now available to
area youth who may be at-risk and/or overweight.
"First and foremost,
a gym should be a safe haven for kids,"
said James. "Any young person with too
much time on their hands can find themselves
at-risk and getting in trouble. Our theory is
simple. 'Stay in the gym. Stay off the street.'
It's an idea that works."
"Secondly, childhood
obesity is a real and growing problem in this
country," James continued. "According
to the American Heart Association, 92% of elementary
schools don't have daily gym class. And, when
typical American kids aren't in school, they
spend more than 40 hours a week playing on the
computer, playing video games and watching TV."
"Kids won't change
their bad habits by themselves, so we want this
to be a family program. Parents, who have probably
been talking about getting in shape anyway,
can set an example for their kids by making
it a family activity one hour per night, three
times per week.”

29 (Merrillville, IN) - Chicagoland and Northwest
Indiana fight fans are invited to Langel’s
Pizza, 2833 Highway Avenue in Highland, Indiana,
this Thursday at 6 p.m. for the official boxer
weigh ins for One In A Million’s six-bout
card the following night. Sponsored by Miller
and Miller Lite, the Miller Girls will be at Langel’s
taking photos and awarding prizes including tickets
to Friday night’s six-bout boxing card at
the Radisson at Star Plaza in Merrillville.
“We’re looking
forward to another great year with Octavius
James’ One In A Million and Miller,”
said Rodney Langel, owner of Langel’s
Pizza. “Boxing and Miller is the perfect
one-two combination.”
In Friday night’s
main event, One In A Million’s franchise
player, Michael “The Midnight Stalker
Walker” (17-0-1, 11 KOs) looks to keep
his unbeaten streak alive by making quick work
of Jerome Elder of Indy. Highly touted by boxing
insiders, Walker is a top middleweight prospect
in a division deep in talent.
When asked who he wants
next, Walker responded, “Ronald Hearns.
He says he’s the ‘Chosen One.’
Let’s see him choose to step in the ring
with me. We’ll see if he’s made
of the same stuff that his daddy (Thomas Hearns)
was. I doubt it.”
At 5’1”, featherweight
Evette Colazzo may be the smallest fighter on
the card, but she may be the biggest in action.
A two-time Chicago Golden Gloves Champ, “KO
Queen” Colazzo (2-0, 2 KOs) faces a very
brave Kim Colbert on Friday.
“Evette might steal
the show,” said Octavius James, CEO of
One In A Million. “Her size is deceiving.
When this little Latina enters the ring and
starts throwing great, big bombs, the crowd
goes wild.”
Fight fans love the hard punching heavyweights
and on Friday night, the big boys return to
action at the Radisson when One In A Million’s
undefeated heavyweight Michael Parker (5-0,
4 KOs) steps into the ring with Leo Sylvest
(5-3, 3 KOs) of Indy. With Parker winning 4
of his 5 bouts by KO and Sylvest winning 3 of
his 5 bouts by KO, this one should be exciting…while
it lasts.
One In A Million stablemates,
featured in separate bouts, include super middleweight
Jimmy “The Fighting School Teacher”
Holmes (16-1-2, 9) of DeMotte, super middleweight
Derrick “Superman” Findley (9-2,

For Immediate Release
Small Stature, Big Action! Featherweight
Evette Colazzo Looks to
Continue Her Knock Out Streak on OIAM’s
Feb.1 Event
|
| |
| January
15 (Merrillville, IN) - She may be small in stature,
but she’s big on action! Undefeated featherweight
Evette Colazzo (2-0, 2 KOs) looks to continue
her knock out ways when she returns to the ring
on February 1 at The Radisson at Star Plaza in
Merrillville, Indiana. Presented by One In A Million
Inc., Colazzo is a late addition to “Nations
Collide” featuring lightweight prospect
“Dangerous” Don Moore (14-0-1, 10)
vs. Francisco “Panchito” Zepeda (16-6,
9) of Indianapolis /Cocula, JA, Mexico in the
main event. Because
of her exciting style, Colazzo, a two-time Chicago
Golden Gloves Champion, has a growing fan-base
in the region. “She’s fearless,”
said promoter Octavius James. “She’s
a petite young lady who isn’t a big talker,
until she gets in the ring and then her fists
start talking.”
In a classic “Boxer vs. Brawler”
fight-fans match-up, Gary’s undefeated
“Dangerous” Don Moore faces Francisco
“Panchito” Zepeda in the evening’s
main event. “Panchito has never been in
a boring fight,” said James. “Ever
since Don saw Zepeda fight that warrior style
in Indy, he’s been asking to face him.
Don wants to test his boxing skills against
a brawler with a huge heart. Win or lose, Panchito
will bring it all night long.”
One In A Million’s
“franchise player,” undefeated Michael
Walker (17-0-1, 11) of Chicago’s southside,
returns to the ring for a middleweight bout
against an opponent to be named. Walker has
his sites set on Ronald Hearns Jr. (17-0, 13
KOs), son of the legend, for a showdown of undefeated
prospects.
“I respect his father,”
Walker said of Hearns Jr. “But me vs.
Junior is the perfect match-up. We’re
both undefeated at 17-0. I want to be the one
to hand Junior his first loss.”
Also in action, light
heavyweight Jimmy Perez Jr. (2-1, 1) of Hammond
fights an immediate re-match with Matt Short
(4-9, 3). Super middleweight Jimmy “The

In A Million Inc. Presents Moore vs. Zepeda
- Classic Boxer vs. Brawler Fight
Plus, Local Favorite Perez Fight Rematch for
Redemption
January 7 (Merrillville,
IN) - On Friday, February 1, Octavius James’
One In A Million Inc. kicks-off 2008 with a
sensational five-bout card from the Radisson
at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana.
In the main event, Gary’s undefeated Lightweight
“Dangerous” Don Moore (14-0-1, 10)
faces warrior Francisco “Panchito”
Zepeda (16-6, 9) of Indianapolis /Cocula, JA,
Mexico in an outstanding “Boxer vs. Brawler”
match up.
“We’re very
excited to feature this bout in the main event,”
said Octavius James.” “This is a
fight fans fight. Moore is a slick, stylistic
boxer and Zepeda is a blood-and-guts Mexican
brawler who just won’t go away.”
In the co-main event,
One In A Million’s “franchise player,”
undefeated Michael Walker (17-0-1, 11) of Chicago’s
southside, returns to the ring for a middleweight
bout against an opponent to be named.
“Walker gave nothing
but great performances last year and the boxing
experts took note,” said James. “We’re
negotiating for him to have a championship opportunity
as soon as possible. Now may be the local fans
last chance to see Walker fight in an intimate
venue like the Radisson.”
On December 14, light
heavyweight Matt Short (4-9, 3) of Garrett Indiana
scored a shocking first round knocked out of
local favorite Jimmy Perez Jr. (2-1, 1). Perez,
a Hammond native who was highly touted in the
region, seemingly simply got caught with a perfect
shot. They will re-match on February 1.
“I guess I can say
that Jimmy’s unexpected knock out loss
shows that we’re putting on competitive
fights,” said James. “I still have
a lot of faith in Jimmy. He learned something
with that loss and I respect him for demanding
an immediate rematch instead of asking for a
tune-up first.”
Rounding out the card,
super middleweight Jimmy “The Fighting
School Teacher” Holmes of DeMotte, super
middleweight Derrick “Superman”
Findley (9-2, 5) of Gary and welterweight Ed
Ochoa (2-0, 2) of Hobart, all take on opponents
to be announced.

| (Gary,
IN)- Packing the Majestic Star Casino, greater
Chicagoland and northwest Indiana On Friday night,
Octavius James' One In A Million Inc. presented
their last boxing event of 2007, the "Holiday
Boxing Bash." Hosted by Majestic Star in
Gary, Indiana, the casino's beautifully appointed
entertainment pavilion provided the sold-out crowd
with a "big fight" atmosphere in an
intimate setting. fight fans received the holiday
gifts they asked for in a brutal rematch, a minor
upset and highly competitive bouts. In
the main event, Gary native and NABC light welterweight
champion "Merciless" Mary McGee (13-0,
7 KOs) won a run-away unanimous six-round decision
(60-54 three times) in her rematch with Leora
Jackson. From the opening bell, McGee was clearly
a more skilled boxer, stronger puncher and smarter
fighter, but Jackson proved to have a chin of
granite, taking power shot after power shot
during every round and refusing to go away.
After the bout, McGee
said, "She's (Jackson) a tough girl. Tonight
I beat her more convincingly than I did in 2006.
Now I'm moving on and will be looking to win
another title next year."
In the evening's co-main
event, Gary's Jermaine "Too Sweet"
White (16-3, 8 KOs) beat Hammond's Ruben Galvan
(27-12-3, 10) by seventh round TKO in another
brutal battle. Fighting like the Mexican warrior
that he is, or, perhaps was, Galvan absorbed
power shot after power shot from White who looked
to be in the best form of his career.
"I've been training
in Las Vegas for the past four months,"
White said. "Vegas has given me the opportunity
to train and spar with top ten fighters. I'm
more skilled, even faster and stronger than
ever."
"Dangerous"
Don Moore (14-0-1, 10), also of Gary, faced
a tougher than advertised opponent in Reggie
Sanders. Moore won a hard-fought unanimous decision
and likely learned something in facing the crafty
southpaw over eight rounds.
In an upset, light heavyweight
Jimmy Perez Jr. (2-1, 1) of Hammond was knocked
out in the first round by unheralded Matt Short.
In the event's opener,
Gary's Frantoine "Tiger" Greenwood
(1-0) won his professional debut by unanimous
decision over game Tyrone Dowdy. Throughout
the bout, Greenwood seemed unfazed by the cut
he suffered over his right eye in round one. |

| December
11 (Merrillville, IN) - Chicagoland and northwest
Indiana fight fans are invited to attend the official
boxer weigh-ins for One In A Million Inc.’s
“Holiday Boxing Bash” this Thursday
at 6 p.m. in the Lakeshore Lounge at Majestic
Star Casino. Majestic Star, located at One Buffington
Harbor in Gary, Indiana, offers free admission
and parking for the 6 p.m. weigh-ins.
A limited number of tickets,
priced at $100 VIP, $50 ringside and $30 general
admission, remain on sale to the public for
Friday night’s Bash. Fans are encouraged
to purchase tickets, while they last, from the
casino’s gift shop or any Ticket Master
outlet.
In Friday night’s
main event, Gary’s own “Merciless”
Mary McGee (12-0, 7 KOs) fights a rematch with
Leora Jackson who Mary beat by majority decision
in May of ‘ 06. Having been disappointed
with that outcome ever since, this time, McGee
intends to score nothing less than a spectacular
knock out to correct what Mary considers to
be the only blemish on her record.
In October, McGee won
the NABC junior welterweight title by stopping
veteran Tawnyah Freeman. McGee is the first
and only women’s boxing champ from Gary,
a city rich in boxing history.
“Mary is looking
forward to showing off her new hardware,”
said Octavius James, CEO of One In A Million
Inc. “If you’ve never seen a championship
belt up-close, and they’re pretty cool
to see, you’ll have the opportunity to
see Mary’s championship belt this Thursday
at the Majestic Star weigh-ins.”
Also on tap, Jermaine
White (15-3, 7 KOs) of Gary and Ruben Galvan
(27-11-3, 10 KOs) of Hammond, deliver eight
more stanzas of Jingle Hell when they face off
in their highly anticipated re-match. Ten months
ago, both fighters threw “friendly rivalry”
and “mutual respect” out of the
window for eight rounds of non-stop action.
In the end, White walked
away with the IN.B.A. welterweight title and
bragging rights as the best welterweight in
the One In A Million stable of fighters. This
Friday, Galvan looks for redemption against
his cross-town rival.
Rounding out the card,
Gary’s undefeated “Dangerous”
Don Moore (13-0-1, 10 KOs), Hammond’s
light heavyweight Jimmy Perez Jr. (2-0, 1 KO)
and, making his professional debut, super middleweight
Frantoine “Tiger” Greenwood, also
of Gary.
During December, One In
A Million Inc. hosted an essay contest for local
charities who have provided exceptional service
to their community. “We’ll be announcing
the winner of the $2000 prize during Friday
nights event,” said James.
Doors to the “Holiday
Boxing Bash” open at 7 p.m. First bout
at 8 p.m.
