The Gary, Indiana Lightweight (17-3, 9 KOs) has impressed promoters and fans, alike, with a boxing style reminiscent of the sport's biggest names. White is one of the smoothest boxers under Octavius James’ One In A Million, Inc. and his in ring abilities are silky as he is tough.
"Too Sweet is definitely the right alias for Jermaine," said White’s manager and C.E.O. of One In A Million, Inc. Octavius James. "Jermaine is extremely athletic and he is an absolutely sensational and smooth boxer."
"Whether it's Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard, I look for those fighters that can glide across the ring and still throw hammers at their opponents," White said recently. "Before long, you'll hear my name mentioned among some of the sports biggest fighters." White is backing up the hype, speaking with his fists and his smooth ring style.
After an impressive amateur career and wining the National Golden Gloves, White joined ONE IN A MILLION INC., the Midwest's premiere boxing team, in 2004.
Now training out of Las Vegas, NV Jermaine has continued to receive national attention as a great threat in the Lightweight Division. As a lead sparring partner for many World Championship training camps, Jermaine has continued to increase his skills and at only 26 years old he is a tremendous threat in the boxing world.
This Merrillville, Indiana native has stepped up to top rated prospects like Anthony Peterson on Showtime’s "Next Generation Series" and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. on Pay-Per-View. Jermaine possesses that fan drawing ring presence much like the great "Sugar" Ray Leonard.
Coming off a tremendous 2nd knockout victory over crafty veteran Reggie Nash in August 2008, White is looking to continue his career with bigger and better things in 2009. Always in contention in his division White looks to put his name on the map with some major fights this year.

Background
Jermaine "Too Sweet" White
was born in Gary, IN on January 13, 1982 and now lives in Merrillville,
Indiana. He spent much of his youth in Atlanta, Georgia before moving
back to Gary and taking up boxing as a youngster. He did some of
his formative training in Gary and also at the Whiting Boxing Club.
He had a 45-15 record as an amateur before turning professional
early in 2004.
"I like what boxing gives me as far as discipline and work," White said. "I feel that if I put in the time and the effort to become the best that I can be then I can become a world champion some day."
"We like having Jermaine as part of the One In A Million family," James said. "He's a fine young man with a good future if he keeps working and uses his talent to the best of his ability."
White suffered a major personal setback when his father and biggest booster, Cornell White, died at the age of 50 of a heart attack on January 2, 2005.
"He was always there to watch me fight," White said. "He was my biggest booster and had a lot of confidence in me. I miss him but I know he is there watching and he would want me to be the best fighter I can be. I have dedicated the rest of my career to him."
White won his first 13 fights before dropping a bout to Anthony Peterson on April 28, 2006 in what was White's Showtime debut. He also dropped a fight to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. later in 2006 but has not let the losses deter him from what he sees as his destiny.
On February 9th, 2007, White claimed his first title as a professional fighter as he defeated Ruben Galvan for the Indiana Boxing Association welterweight title.
"I realized my dream of being champion," White said.
"I knew I had the talent and the desire, all I have to do is
keep training and listening to my trainers."
